The summer is ending and August is finally upon us! Here is a snapshot of just a few things happening around the region this month for everyone to enjoy!

August 8th– 11th– Kitchener Blues Festival

August 9th11:00 AM – 10:00 PM – Cambridge Ribfest

Free event for all ages but donations are always welcomed! This event is great for meat-eaters, vegetarians and vegans alike! For more information click here!

August 9th 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM – Night Market

Enjoy a collaboration of art, music and food at Renisons Night Market. This event is family-friendly and will include cuisines from all over the world! For more information on this event click here!

August 17th10:00 AM – 4:00 PM – Aviation Fun Day

Visit the Region of Waterloo International Airport for a day filled of aviation demonstrations and displays. This event if FREE! For more information click here!

August 17th12:00 PM – 10:00 PM – Summer Brewfest at Waterloo Brewing

Join the Waterloo Brewing Company in celebrating 35 years as Ontario’s First Craft Brewer. This event cost $20.00 per person and includes tickets for 5 beer samples, limited edition swag and a ticket to Oktoberfest Koolhaus at Bingemans. For more details on this event click here!

August 18th11:00 AM – 5:00 PM – Kidspark

Fun for the whole family! Enjoy a day out at Victoria Park for the most popular childrens festival for the summer! Admission is free and there will be games, live entertainment and arts & crafts for all ages. For more information click here!

August 22nd– The Runway

Join in on some running fun at the Region of Waterloo International Airport in the evening with the main runway light illuminating the day! There will be prizes, giveaways, refreshments and more! Run for fun or compete in the 2 mile race. For more information click here!

August 25th– Apple-iscious 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Hosted by the Waterloo Region Museum and Doon Heritage Village comes a day to celebrate apples! Learn about the care that goes into growing apples along with trying some great apple recipes and playing some “apple” games. For more information click here!
